I had always told my daughter that I would make her baby clothes that I had saved (and moved around the country) for 26 years into a quilt for her. As she is expecting her baby (my first grandchild) in February, my two talented sisters in the sewing area and I made this quilt for her baby - we call it "Cainen's Quilt of Many Colors". We did not have a pattern to go by, it is a unique and one of a kind creation - and a custom quilt that will bring my daughter and future children many years of joy. We even made a photo album of her as a baby wearing the outfits featured in the quilt. It was a fun time for the three of us to create this quilt - in less than one week - and recall all the wonderful memories of her childhood for her child.
