Secure a small satchel of Valentine's Day treats with this festive fastener. Use any size of clothespins and as many different colors of paper as you like, but it's best to use wooden pins, which hold the glue better than the plastic variety.
Card stock or other heavy-weight paper
1/16-inch circular punch or paper edgers (optional)
Part of a pinata's unique charm is that no matter how ornate it is or how much time went into making it, its decorative qualities are entirely temporary. Stuffed with candy and treats, the pinata is meant to be smashed apart, spilling its contents into the hands of the children clustered around it at parties.
Newspaper, cut into 1-by-6-inch strips
Strong white paper (20-pound copy paper works well)
