Abstract Rose-Print Valentine's Day Cards and Gift Wrap

Stamping tools constructed from corrugated cardboard and a wine cork make beautiful flower motifs. If decorating wrapping paper, stamp a full sheet. To make the cards below, round the edges of colored paper with scissors or a corner punch, apply the markings, and attach to card stock with spray adhesive.

Strawberry Pincushions

You may remember seeing charming strawberry pincushions like these in your grandmother's sewing box. Hers were probably sewn from scraps of leftover fabric; ours are made with ribbon remnants, shirting fabric, and felt, which works especially well because its edges won't fray.
