Thread-Wrapped Easter Eggs

These charming ornaments look lovely piled high in a pretty bowl, displayed on candlesticks, or hung from an Easter tree.
Materials
  • Styrofoam eggs (Use 1- to 3-inch tall eggs if you're hanging them, 4 to 5 1/2 inches if you're using as mantel display pieces)
  • Straight pins
  • Small paintbrush
  • White glue
  • Perle cotton thread in various colors, #5, from Herrshners
  • Screw eyes in silver (60645166), by Darice, from Create for Less
  • Silver thread (only needed if you're adding a hook to hang it as an ornament)
  • Optional: vintage flowers in white and pink, and leaves in white, from Tinsel Trading
