  • 2 large onions, chopped
  • 8 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 cup tomato paste
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) reduced-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 cup dry red wine
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 4 cans (14.5 ounces each) Great Northern or cannelloni beans, rinsed and drained
