Hi, I'm Adia, but people call me Addie. For cooks, party throwers, and holiday lovers who need tools, tips and tricks, I offer simple, yet elegant recipes with complex flavors that are easy to combine. This kitchen is fun for people of all ages and skill levels!

 

Formally trained at Auguste Escoffier in Colorado and Avignon, France I earned a Masters in culinary arts and had the amazing opportunity to work with Christian Etienne, at a three Michelen-starred restaurant. I returned to the United States and began working for Daniel Boulud and later crossed the country to work for the Thomas Keller Restaurant Group in California. After supporting the opening of Bouchon Beverly Hills and Bar Bouchon, I moved back to New York City to work in management. Shortly after my move I began working for Martha Stewart, which encompassed my passion for all things food and entertaining. While working for Martha I finished my bachelor degree in Organizational Behavior at New York University and from there I spent two years working as a culinary designer at gravitytank, an innovation consultancy in downtown Chicago. There I created new food and beverage products for a range of companies; large and small. Currently, I oversee and create culinary content for web platforms and cookbooks at Prime Publishing in Illinois.

 

My fiance, Alex, and I live in Lake Forest with our happy puppy Paisley. We love hanging out in the backyard, strolling around our neighborhood, and spending time with friends and family, with good food and drinks of course!
