Dr. Louann Brizendine shared some of the highlights from her book, "The Female Brain," and demystified some common questions about female behavior.

-On average, sexual thoughts float through a man's brain every 52 seconds and through a woman's only once a day (though perhaps three to four times on her most fertile days).
-Men use about 7,000 words per day, while women use about 20,000.
-Women get lots of comfort from talking. As they talk, their body releases a brain hormone called oxytocin, which is a "feel-good" hormone. Men get excitement from things like playing and watching sports -- and also from watching women.
-In the brain centers for language and hearing, women have 11 percent more neurons than men. The principle hub of both emotion and memory formation -- the hippocampus -- is also larger in the female brain, as is the brain circuitry for language and observing emotions in others.
-Men, by contrast, have two and a half times the brain space devoted to sexual drive and larger brain centers for action and aggression. Special Thanks Dr. Louann Brizendine
