Sparkling Holiday Cards3 Ratings (See All) ![]() Landscapes and architecture are ideal subjects for cards, and they look great with a dusting of glitter. Many computer programs offer antiquing functions that "age" a photo in seconds. Card How-To 1. Create a new document. If your photograph is horizontal, your document should be 8 1/2 inches wide by 11 inches long. If your photograph is vertical, your document should be 11 inches wide by 8 1/2 inches long. 2. Choose a color for your card's background. 3. Draw a box where your picture will sit; the size of the box will vary depending on how big you want your picture and how thick you want your borders. 4. Import the photo file. 5. If desired, draw two or three thin-sided rectangles around the photo to create a decorative frame. 6. Print document. 7. Fold the card in half, using a ruler and a bone folder to score the card and create a perfect crease. 8. With a utility knife, trim edges to desired dimensions. (Our finished cards are 5 1/4 by 7 1/8 inches.) Glitter How-To 2. Place on a paper plate; sprinkle with glitter. Shake to remove excess glitter. Let dry.
