Pinot Noir

With its fruity and slightly spicy taste, ruby-red color, and silky-smooth texture, this red wine rarely disappoints.

Where Does It Come From?
The Pinot Noir grape has been grown in the Burgundy region of France for more than 2,000 years. Today, it is also grown in California, Oregon, Washington, Australia, and New Zealand.

How Does It Taste?
The younger Pinot Noirs are quite fruity, with hints of cherry, plum, and pepper. As the wines age, they develop a deeper, more intense aroma and flavor.

What Food Does It Go With?
It's good with chicken, pork, lamb, and salmon; it's nice on its own, too.

How Much Does It Cost?
Prices vary greatly, but you can get a nice bottle for $12 to $15.

How to Store
Wine bottles should be stored on their sides so that the corks stay moist, thereby creating a seal. The ideal temperature for storing red wine is between 50 degrees and 55 degrees Fahrenheit, but anywhere up to 65 degrees is okay. It is important, however, to keep the temperature constant
