This unforgettable monster buffet was inspired by the Adrienne Landau windows at Barneys New York.

Monster buffet eye and nose template
Monster buffet claws, paws, and teeth template
White and black felt
Pencil
Scissors
Craft glue
Faux-fur pillow
Faux-fur throw blanket large enough to cover buffet table
Rubber drawer liner material
Safety pins
Cake stands (optional)

Monster Buffet How-To
1. Print monster buffet eye and nose template. Enlarge and print monster buffet claws, paws, and teeth template.

2. Trace each shape onto the color felt indicated in the template, and cut from felt. If the eye shape you have chosen is in 2 pieces, glue black pupils to center of eyes.

3. Remove pillow cover from store-bought faux fur pillow. Attach the whites of the monster eyes, nose, and teeth to pillow cover with safety pins, pinning from the inside of the cover. Replace cover on pillow form.

4. Place lengths of drawer liner over most of the table. Drape a faux-fur throw on buffet table to create the "body" of the monster. Place cake stands under the throw to create the lumpy effect of a monster's body. Pin paws to front bottom edge of throw.

5. Arrange claws with thumb pieces on tabletop, and place platters on top of claws, making it look as though claws are holding platters.

6. Place pillow in center of table to create the head of the monster.
