Michel Perrin Handbags

Guest Michel Perrin is the chairman of the venerable leather goods company Perrin Paris, a family business that has been in existence for more than 100 years. Established in 1893 in Paris, the business benefited greatly from the industrial age, which revolutionized the manufacturing of gloves thanks to the invention of the Singer sewing machine. Most recently, Perrin Paris launched a line of designer handbags -- one of which is named after Martha!

The Martha Bag
Perrin was inspired to create the beautiful and functional Martha bag when flying with Martha to her house in Maine. While on the plane, Martha emptied a big tote with miscellaneous items onto the floor and commented that she wanted to be able to keep everything in a clutch, travel-type bag. And voila! The Martha bag was born.
