Fall foliage is ablaze for only a few short weeks, but this project allows you to prolong the essence of the season by adorning a candle with leaf motifs.

Acrylic paint
Brayer

Rubbing alcohol

Leaf Candle How-To
1. Clean the candle of any oils by wiping it with rubbing alcohol. Squirt the paint onto a piece of waxed paper and spread it into a thin coat using the brayer. Roll the paint-coated brayer over the face of the leaf stamp.

2. Place the stamp face up on your work surface and roll the candle slowly over the design, applying equal pressure to make the coating even. If you make a mistake, use a damp rag to remove the paint, dry the surface, then repeat the process. If you want multiple leaf images remember not to touch any of the wet areas while rolling the candle over the stamp. When you're done, clean the stamp with warm water and a sponge. Allow the candle to dry for at least 20 minutes.
