Although moms always appreciate chocolate and flower arrangements on Mother's Day, wouldn't it be nice to give a high-tech gift this year? Check out the latest in high-tech gadgets, courtesy of technology editor Suzanne Kantra.
Canon PowerShot G9
If you're looking for a new digital camera, it's not just about megapixels. Today's cameras are smart enough to help you take better pictures. Canon's PowerShot G9 has it all, with a 12-megapixel sensor and a 6x optical zoom lens with image stabilization. Equally impressive, though, are its face detection technology and ability to take great shots in low light. Face detection enables the photographer to select the person who is the primary focus of a shot and keep that person in focus -- even if he or she moves. Face detection also tells the camera that the people in the shot need to be exposed properly, so they are prioritized properly.
WildCharge
The WildCharge pad lets you recharge multiple items just by setting them down on the pad. Affix the charger contact pad to your device and plug it into the usual port for charging. When traveling, simply unplug the WildCharge contact pad and plug in your usual travel charger. The WildCharge system will be available for a variety of Apple products and some Blackberry models.

Flip Video Camcorder and Underwater Case
The beauty of the Flip Video Ultra is its simplicity. You can hand this digital camcorder to anyone and they'll be taking videos in minutes. Better yet, it enables you to share your videos with ease. When you plug the camcorder into your computer, it downloads an application that lets you edit your videos and share them via email or YouTube. And now you can take underwater videos with its underwater case. There's no thinking twice about taking this video camera along. It's easy to use, it's small, and it's durable.
