Healthy Living Tips from Raquel Welch

A screen legend who has been pursuing her childhood passion for acting since coming to Hollywood more than 40 years ago, Raquel Welch quickly emerged as an international sex symbol after her arrival in Tinseltown. Today, at 67 years old, she has never looked better. What is her secret to aging gracefully?

Raquel swears by yoga, which she's been doing since the age of 35, when one of her background singers recommended it. Raquel is against all of the diet pills, cigarette smoking, and illegal substances many people in Hollywood use to keep energized. Instead, she opts for healthy methods, like focusing on a high-protein, low-carb diet with lots of whole grains, organic fruits and vegetables, and fish, but no meat or poultry.

Advising a well-balanced approach to health, Raquel loves organically grown food cooked simply with lemon juice, as opposed to heavy sauces or fried dishes. She works out almost every day -- yoga at 6:30 a.m. mixed with a lot of cardio and weight training -- with an emphasis on maintaining her best health and appearance.
