Coating Easter eggs with glitter provides a sparkling alternative to coloring them with dyes.

Completely Glittered Eggs
To make beautifully glittered Easter eggs, simply follow these step-by step how-to instructions.

Additional glittering tips from "The Martha Stewart Show":
1. Place a skewer through the hole in the blown egg, and secure with Fun-Tak. Use the skewer to hold the egg as you glitter it, and stick skewer into a piece of Styrofoam while the egg dries.

2. Once the egg is dry, remove it from the skewer and glue a small piece of paper over the hole. Glitter the covered area so the entire egg is glittered; set on waxed paper to dry.

Initial/ Monogram Eggs How-To
1. Begin with any type of egg: natural or dyed. (We used dyed goose and chicken eggs that had been blown out.) With a felt-tip glue pen or a glue bottle with a very fine tip, write an initial on the egg and then sprinkle with glitter.
Tip: If you are not comfortable writing the letter freehand with the glue pen, lightly trace it out with a pencil first and then apply glue over the line.

Polka-Dot Eggs How-To
1. Begin with any type of egg: natural or dyed. (We used natural Araucana eggs from Martha's farm that had been blown out.) Dip the eraser of a pencil into craft glue. Dot glue onto egg three to four times, and then sprinkle with glitter. Continue dotting glue and glittering until the egg is covered with the desired amount of dots.
Tip: You can use more then one color of glitter for multi-colored polka-dot eggs.
