Glittered Crafts How-To
Glittered Branch
We used a variety of tinsel glitter colors to create our branches; you may also mix colors together for added depth.
1. Brush glue onto several inches of a branch with a bristle brush and cover in glitter. Shake off excess.
2. Insert branch into pre-drilled hole in birch round and secure with hot glue. Attach green moss to sides of birch round with hot glue, if desired.
Glittered Nest
1. Slightly crush and distress a decorative nest to create a more natural look, by pressing it against a table and pounding it. Add a few more twigs to give it character.
2. Brush glue onto nest; cover in glitter. Shake off excess.
3. Use hot glue to attach a hair clip to the nest. When the glue has cooled, attach the nest to the branch with the hair clip.
Glittered Birds
1. Paint glue on one colored area of bird; choose a glitter that matches this color and pour over glued area. Shake off excess.
2. Paint glue over another color; glitter. Repeat until the bird is completely glittered.
Glittered Acorn
1. Glue the acorn cap to the top of the acorn and poke a hole through the stem with a T-pin. String 22-gauge floral wire through the hole.
2. Paint the acorn bottom with glue, and dunk in glitter. Shake off excess.
3. Paint the acorn cap with glue, and glitter with microbeads or tinsel glitter. Shake off excess.
4. Glitter plain ball ornaments with snow glitter to add to your branch, if desired.
