Gift-Topper Leaf

1. Download maple-leaf or oak-leaf template, resizing as desired, and print onto card stock. Cut out template.

2. Lay template on a piece of felt; trace with a disappearing-ink pen.

3. Lay a piece of fusible webbing on traced felt. Cut 2 pieces of floral wire (1 shorter than leaf, 1 longer and bent into a V). Arrange both wires on top of webbing to mimic leaf veins (below). Lay a piece of woven-wool fabric on top. Iron, following webbing manufacturer's instructions.

4. Position template on felt side of fused fabric, using embedded wires as a guide. Trace with disappearing-ink pen, and cut out leaf.

5. With a hot-glue gun, affix a miniature wooden clothespin to felt side of leaf. Use clothespin to attach to a ribbon on package.
