Eucalyptus Garland and Waxed Berries1 Rating (See All) ![]() Festoons of seeded eucalyptus and hand-waxed berries set off the decorative trim on the front staircase at Turkey Hill.
2. Plastic berries are available from crafts stores. To wax fruit, strip individual berries from bunch; stems should be 2 to 3 inches long. In a double boiler, melt 2 or 3 wax tapers, and remove wicks (keep heat low to avoid scorching). Holding a berry by its stem, dip into wax until coated. Let dry completely on waxed paper. Insert berry stems into garland and secure with hot glue. Use floral wire to attach garland to banister. Hide wire under satin bows. Mist garland daily. |
