Chic Tweak: Handbag Helper

From Rote Tote...
Sure, it houses your Kleenex and Halls, but that doesn't mean you can't get sick of your handbag.

To Custom Carryall
Wrapping microfiber-suede tape around the handles is an easy way to perk up your pocketbook. Its not permanent, so you can go with offbeat colors, says Katie. Choose a single one or a mix -- like we did here."

DIY How-To
1. Buy four 1-yard strips of microfiber-suede tape, more for long handles.

2. Double-knot two strips together and position the knot at the base of one handle (the tape is slightly tacky, so it'll stay in place).

3. Crisscross the strands tightly and closely so the handle doesn't show through.

4. Double-knot at the handle's other base.

5. Repeat with other handle.
