New York City abounds with great restaurants, and on one stretch of 10th Street in Manhattan's East Village, Martha has uncovered some hidden gems. Featuring delicious food at great prices, a select four are highlighted in her 10th Street Restaurant series.

1. Momofuku Bakery and Milk Bar
207 Second Avenue
New York, NY 10003

Momofuku Bakery and Milk Bar is a quirky bakery boasting one-of-a-kind desserts, snacks, and sweets, including such delights as crack pie and compost cookies. Owned by chef David Chang, who opened his first restaurant, Momofuku Noodle Bar, in 2005 to much critical acclaim, Milk Bar features the delicious, exotic desserts of Momofuku pastry chef Christina Tosi.

2. ChikaLicious Dessert Bar

New York, NY 10003

ChikaLicious, owned by East Village residents Don and Chika Tillman, is a small "bar" featuring upscale desserts. Chika, a pastry chef, and her assistant chefs work from behind a counter to make and serve their wonderfully delicious desserts. In 2008, the husband-and-wife team expanded the business with Dessert Club ChikaLicious. The bakery allows on-the-run fans of Chika's desserts to pop in for something sweet -- Martha does this each time she's in the neighborhood.
