I've been working in the coffee industry for 15 years! 5 years ago I had the opportunity to purchase Happyrock Coffee, a coffee roasting company with a retail space in Gladstone, Oregon. Happyrock had no packaging and no wholesale accounts although it had been there for 1o years at that time! I focused on doing the best job that I could. On a whim in 201o I submitted a coffee to the first Best Coffee In Oregon Competition, a blind taste test, at the Oregon State Fair. I was blown away when my coffee placed 2nd in the State, meaning not only do I think my coffee is pretty good, other people do to! That gave me the confidence I needed to go on, because unfortunately sometimes you aren't taken seriously when you are a small business in a small town. My coffee kept doing well in competitions. It was time for my award winning coffee to have visually pleasing packaging. A graphic designer cleaned up the labels and my logo. I am aiming to boost my online sales in the future.

My shop is an 700 square foot retail space with a drum roaster in the same room. All production and packaging is done within this space with the help of my two employees. All coffee roasting and delivery is done by me.

What inspires you?
