One Meaning is a philanthropic fine jewelry and gift company for sophisticates and romantics. All of our symbols are based on the code 813 means "I love you"...8 letters, 3 words, 1 meaning. The 1 is in the middle because love is the center of everything.® We formed the numbers into a butterfly and other beautiful symbols that signify you're becoming the change you'd like to see in the world, because transforming. From its inception in 2009, One Meaning has partnered with hundreds of foundations and charities to lend our support. As a company based on love, we feel that’s important to do. Over the years, we've featured close to 40 charities on our site, and regularly donated a portion of sales to them. One Meaning was started by Karen Chesleigh and Ingrid Hobbs, who still believe in magic and that anything is possible. 813!

What makes your business stand out?

Close to 3 dozen people have tattooed our logo on to their bodies!! We've created a truly beautiful logo. Here's how: We met while at another company and began working closely together and quickly discovered a true synergy in our collective creativity. It became apparent that we shared an intense love for creating magical, meaningful things and watching out for those who need help. Late one night while working on project together, we began to share stories about our pasts. Karen shared an Urban Dictionary code that she and her mom used with one another: "831 means 'I love you'...8 letters, 3 words, 1 meaning." One Meaning came into sharp focus when we spent time with one another to create something beautiful with the 831 code for use in apparel and jewelry. That synergy that we always shared with one another kicked in, and we soon discovered that by rearranging the special numbers to 8-1-3, it formed the shape of a butterfly – the symbol of transformation now meant love!
