Sweet Bubble Bath Confections - A Bath Time Bakery
Tell us about your business.Throw two workaholic soap wizards into a tub of Originality and what have you got? Sweet Bubble Bath Confections. Two sisters, Susan and Mary, and their sister-in-law, Debbie have proven OCD is an invaluable asset in perfecting the art of soap making. Fifteen years ago the workaholics scoured the industry in search of the ‘Holy Grail.’ They discovered it in a simple creamy bar of lather. Eureka! They were off in a cloud of soap fumes that hasn’t stopped. “I can do that,” Susan said, to her brother who wanted his favorite bar of soap recreated. She proceeded to school herself in the art as if her life depended on it. Months later, Mary came to her with a dream – a crazy dream. Something about tea cakes in a bathtub. Everyone laughed. Before long they were piping soapy cupcakes to be enjoyed in the tub. The gems looked like the real McCoy and Sweet Bubble took on new meaning with its very own persona. Cakes, cookies, pies and tarts followed. The bath time bakery was born.

What inspires you?Incidental small things that seem irrelevant, the way mortar looks between bricks on an old building. The romantic music we play in our stores. The smiles our customers cannot control when they pick up and smell our chocolate chip soap cookie. Slices of life that we bring into play when we name our products - it's all about the fun of it. For instance our Body Scrub is called Slush. Why? It looks like slush, feels like slush and sounds a lot more fun than the word 'scrub'. Our Butter Cream Body Frosting looks like frosting, the FUN of words, inspire us.
What makes your business stand out? When you walk in the door, you feel it. It's another world, a unique fun, unexpected twist and the music makes you want to dance. Everyone loves our stores. Everyone loves our whimsical creations.
What advice would you give an aspiring creative entrepreneur?Be Original. Dig deep inside yourself and find what you are best at doing. Work is never work when you love what you do.
What does American Made mean to you?Made in the USA. And most ALL of our products are exactly that!
