Tell us about your business.I started when my mom taught me to crochet in 2004. I then taught myself to knit and decided to start my business when I realized how many people wanted to purchase my hand-made items.
Tell us about your workspace, shop, or studio.I simply enjoy knitting/crocheting as a hobby and work from home.
What inspires you?Myself, my mother, and my son (as a means to support our two person family). I am a single mom with a baby girl on the way whom I am placing for adoption. I truly believe my love for her and inability to provide a stable life at this current time caused me to make the decision to place her with the family I chose for her. My kitting and crocheting hobby keeps my mind off the pain and sadness at the thought of handing her over to this wonderful couple who could not have their own children.
What makes your business stand out?I genuinely care about making exactly what the customer wants/needs. Also, I work hard to finish in a timely manner and price according to their budget regardless of how much profit I end up receiving.
What advice would you give an aspiring creative entrepreneur?Do what you love and continue to learn and grow both as a person but also with your craft.
What does American Made mean to you?American made simply means that I am talented with a craft and a hobby and can bless the lives of those who receive my personalized crafts.
