Tell us about your business.

I started my little business on accident. I made products for friends and had people asking for more! The etsy shop was then born and it's been a rapid growth since. I make everything with my own two hands and my sewing machine. It may be a long shot but I hope with every quality product I put in the hands of fellow moms and babies, they will share my story and help me on the road to success. I believe in giving back and have joined in many charities and giveaways. I felt like moms needed something pretty. Something easy and machine washable. A product that would make them feel fancy without fear of breaking. That's when the teething necklaces and mama necklaces were born. Everything in my shop can be tossed in the wash because we don't need one more mess to clean up. My teething rings are made from all natural wood with a beeswax/olive oil finish, each ring finished by hand to make sure they are smooth as your babies booty. I am just trying to make a charming home with good people.

Tell us about your workspace, shop, or studio.

My workspace consists of a white desk, a laptop, and a sewing machine. My guest bedroom closet is stacked with those hanging dividers you find at IKEA filled with fabric. I have way too many mint colored products but it keeps me happy. Right now I'm working solo with a little "help" from tiny hands at random times throughout the day. The movie Cars is now memorized from those times I just needed a few minutes more than nap time. The Neil Diamond and Keith Urban Pandora stations are rotated back and forth while the sewing machine chugs away. My desk is beneath the window because I love getting distracted by the outside beauty.

What inspires you?

Everything inspires me. Color, lines, art, music, the world. It all has something special to give and I want to be able to receive it. People inspire me. I am fascinated by what other people are capable of doing. I love seeing people achieve their dreams and goals create things that are pleasing to the eye. I think life's what you make it so might as well all that white-space and turn it into something pretty.

What makes your business stand out?

My business stands out because I am driven by my customers. I love getting to know my followers on Instagram. I am amazed by how many ridiculously awesome people there still are in this world. I love helping them and I love seeing them use my products in such creative and beautiful ways. My brand is small, but it won't be small forever. I've been in business for almost 4 months and have already exceeded my expectations. With that came new expectations and the realization that I could have something great! I hope to keep up the quality work and just keep trying to be a person with good values.

What advice would you give an aspiring creative entrepreneur?

You'll never know until you try. Why not?

What does American Made mean to you?

American Made means a little something different to me now that I started my own shop. I realize now I have the power to directly affect fellow friends, followers, moms, and other amazing people. It means when you use your dollars to support american made businesses you are putting your money straight into the banks of families just like you. Trying to make due in this crazy world and hopefully by doing something you love. That's what the American dream still is and I like having a hand in that.
