Tell us about your business.

We are avid retired cyclists. Our business was started by observing our fellow cyclists dissatisfaction with cycling mirrors available in the marketplace. We began an effort to improve on a variety of cycling helmet mirrors. After six months of trial and error manufacturing and testing, our product was made available for sale to cycle club members and a few local bike shops. After a steady year and a half growth through web site and amazon sales, a new handlebar mirror was introduced to local bike shops and added to eBay, amazon and our web site. We are currently working on a new mount for a third product. Our intention is to offer a bicycle safety mirror that appeals to the many different styles of riding as well as variety of bikes. We live and make our product in Florida which unfortunately has the highest rate of cycle/car collisions in the country. We make our products in our homes except for one of our brackets which is made by a local manufacture in our community.

Tell us about your workspace, shop, or studio.

Both our garages have space converted to manufacture our products. We use a variety of custom make jigs for manufacture and assembly.

What inspires you?

To design a product that is unique, quality constructed, and serves a useful purpose in the promotion of cycling safety. Knowing that our product may help avoid a collision with moving vehicle gives us incentive to continually improve our products.

What makes your business stand out?

We offer hand made products with quality materials and workmanship that can have customized logos for a small fee whose entire reason for existence is safety for the cycling enthusiast. We also provide personal attention to the customer if they need any assistance and offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee.

What advice would you give an aspiring creative entrepreneur?

Be persistent, believe in your vision, know your competitors, continually improve quality, and remember to be persistent.

What does American Made mean to you?

To us American made means supporting American resources and being able to offer the highest customer satisfaction guarantee. Product quality can be made anywhere but when a product can be traced directly to the product designer and manufacture, there is a sense of pride imbedded into every product. We believe that pride is visible to our customers through the cycling mirrors they purchase from us.
