Tell us about your business.

I planted the trees in 2004 inspired by Martha's love of Meyer lemons. Seven harvests later, we have shipped over 100,000 lemons from my backyard. Each tree is named for a woman who inspired me. I hire local kids to help me wash the lemons and prepare the packing materials.

Tell us about your workspace, shop, or studio.

My orchard is in my backyard. USPS delivers the boxes for free and picks up my orders at the front door. We wash the lemons on my living room while we watch TV.

What inspires you?

Doing what I love! Life is a series of chapters. I've been blessed to have lived several very exciting times. From owning my own software business, to creating and publishing three children's books, learning to fly and buying a flight school. And now my orchard. Do what makes your heart sing!

What makes your business stand out?

Personal service and loving what I do!

What advice would you give an aspiring creative entrepreneur?

Do what makes your heart sing. Work smart. Make a plan. Think outside the lines. Don't give up!

What does American Made mean to you?

Makes me happy that we still produce quality products in the US.
