Tell us about your business.Kissen Studio is a small shop filled with thoughtfully made objects inspired by color, simplicity and childhood pastimes. I began sewing professionally at the age of 16, for a studio in Wisconsin that makes costumes for the Metropolitan and Lyric Opera. Surrounded by creative, influential women for much of my young life, I was encouraged to learn new skills and develop my own creative ideas and style. I started Kissen Studio in 2012 with the goal of creating colorful housewares using natural fabrics in order to brighten the homes and lives of my customers. In the future, I hope to branch out into other areas of home decor, with products ranging from table runners to wall hangings.
