Tell us about your business. After my gift brand company--Fresh Pastry Stand--began seeing success with its line of vintage-inspired, hand-crafted tea towels, pastry stands and candles, I started thinking: what's next? Soap seamed like a logical next but when I started sharing the idea with friends, they all said the same thing. YOU ARE CRAZY AND HAVE NO TIME TO HAND MAKE MORE STUFF! Good point, friends. That's when I started looking into commercial manufacturing. In fall of 2013, I began a partnership with a family owned Vermont soap company. We worked together to create all natural, plant based, soy free soap bars that deliver lots of lather, beautiful and complex natural fragrance and moisturizing properties. I've worked on these soaps for over a year now. I knew in my head exactly what I wanted all four bars to smell like, researched the benefits of all of our ingredients, and created a soap base that's luxurious and beneficial to the skin. We've gone through a minimum of of 5 formulas for each sku.
What makes your business stand out?Great ingredients skillfully put together are, of course, the most essential component to creating great soap. But I wanted to create an amazing brand with a distinctive concept and potential to expand into something bigger. When I began searching for a designer, I knew that whoever I chose would play a key element in defining the brand. While many luxury soaps rely on minimalist packaging-gloss black and gold foil- that does not speak to me. It is not my style. I am inspired by good design. Damn you, Mad Men, for highlighting it's absence in our modern life. With C% Pure, I want to bring something new and fresh to the body care market: great package design that visually illustrates the story of each soap. Because of the great visual impact we have kept text to a minimum. We have killer soap bars that deliver in consistency, ingredients, and sheer awesomeness. Wrapped in insanely beautiful and current packaging. With limited edition bars in collectible boxes coming soon!
