Tell us about your business.

Like most jewelry designers, my passion for creating started as a hobby. I would set up at any venue that would take me, whether it was a music festival, juried art show, or in a parking garage next to a pecan stand. After many weekends spent under a pop-up tent, I took the entrepreneurial jump. I quit my day job and convinced myself that starting a business during a recession was actually a really good idea. I exhibited at my first wholesale tradeshow in Atlanta...and never looked back. Since 2008, Beatrixbell Jewelry has grown from a one-woman artist under a tent, to a brand that is carried in over 100 stores nationwide. Through our growth, we have continued to create high quality handmade designs that are made in America, as well as using materials in our products that are either purchased from US suppliers or manufactured in the USA (such as our chains, components, findings and raw materials). And although we've grown a lot, we still love our Louisiana music festivals!

What makes your business stand out?

Beatrixbell Jewelry is unique due to the wide array of jewelry making techniques found in our designs! We don’t just assemble components. In the studio you can find us wire wrapping, hammering, soldering, sawing, enameling, and using different methods to patina our creations. We pair precious metals, copper and bronze with exotic gemstones, pearls and vintage-inspired elements to create unique and unexpected designs.

What's the best business advice you've received?
