My all natural Floral Elixirs are floral enhancers to be added to champagne, spirits, sodas and teas. Handcrafted individually in small batches.

Tell us about your business.

I'm the sole owner and started my business during the recession after having returned to the US from working in Europe for over a decade. I spent time in many countries and enjoyed the local cuisine, libations and flavors different countries used. I decided to attempt to make an 'Elixir' in my mother's kitchen initially out of Roses, and from this stemmed a line of 4 flavors of floral enhancers. There are 4 flavors: Rose, Lavender, Hibiscus and Tropical Orchid Elixirs. They are not syrups, as they have less sugar, and are more concentrated in flavor. I source the highest quality extracts and actually hand press hibiscus flower petals to create my Hibiscus Elixir. I hand label fill and seal each bottle by hand with a team of 3-5 people and produce in 40 gallon batches at most to ensure the highest quality control. I've been honored to have top restaurants use my produce but also to have gained nationwide distribution with Williams-Sonoma, and have done several sales with

What makes your business stand out?

My Elixirs are all natural, they are not 'naturally flavored' with flower extracts but are actually the real thing. They taste like fresh flowers and are beautiful accents to libations and even with food pairings. I have gone through some label transformations over the last 4 years but have always wanted to be true to the Viennese Secession movement, which is my hometown, in Austria. Using the fonts and designs were important to me, especially at the start - the videos show my Elixirs in the original black labels. People always noticed my packaging and design and everytime someone new tries and likes the Elixirs during tastings it makes my day. Here is a video where I give a presentation about them!

What's the best business advice you've received?

As it's been a difficult journey of mainly working alone, I've always sought the help of others. The best advice I ever got was to never give up and always seek the help of mentors.
