Tell us about your business.

I have always been a strong believer in living as naturally as possible and with my background in Reflexology, Reiki and Touch for Health, this has only reinforced my beliefs. When it comes to skin care products, I am very conscious of their ingredients and question the need for strong, harsh chemicals, especially for use with young children and people with skin sensitivities. This led to my decision to make my own products using only the best and most natural ingredients. I started soap making in 2008 and after sharing my products with family and friends and receiving such positive feedback, I have decided to expand and make my products available to other health conscious individuals. I am happy knowing that my soap products are not adversely affecting the environment while at the same time, my family's skin feels great!

What makes your business stand out?

Greenwood Soaps is about creating great handmade soap for everyone. I make 100% natural soap for the hippies out there. I make nearly natural soap for the scent goddesses and I have a line that looks completely edible using my cake decorating abilities. I like to have fun and change things up often!

What's the best business advice you've received?

Be sure to follow all the rules! Have fun! And your family comes first!
