The story of Brazi Bites starts in the summer of 2009. It had been 4 years since Junea moved to the U.S. to be with her husband Cameron. Feeling homesick and missing the cheese bread from her country she called her mother in Brazil and asked for their family's recipe. Junea and Cameron made their first batch in their home kitchen that summer. The couple spent the next few months experimenting with countless recipes, hoping to re-create “the perfect cheese bread” as they remembered it. Then one day in the spring of 2010 the most delicious and perfectly shaped cheese bread came out of the oven – it was so good they devoured the whole tray in minutes. The response from friends and family was overwhelming when they shared their creation at parties and events. Brazi Bites was then created so they could share their irresistible recipe with the U.S. Brazi Bites is now available in over 400 stores in 13 states and expected to reach 2000 stores nationwide by 2015.

What makes your business stand out?

Our line of cheese bread is naturally gluten-free and absolutely delicious. We're sharing a traditional South American flavor and at the same time satisfying thousands of people following a gluten-free diet. Our bread has a wonderful taste and texture, rarely found in gluten-free products. We take the greatest care in our kitchen to make sure there is no trace of gluten in any of our ingredients and our products are safe for consumers with the highest level of gluten sensitivity.

What's the best business advice you've received?

“The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.” by Lao Tzu inspired us to start Brazi Bites. It seems like an impossible task to start a food company from scratch but you have to believe in yourself and take one small step at a time. Many small steps equals one big step overtime and your dreams become a reality.
