Tell us about your business.Seaworthy will always be an American-made jewelry line that is centered on design and craftsmanship. Our goal is a beautiful and unique piece of jewelry that is lasting and affordable. That requires a very thoughtful approach to each step of the process. I view Seaworthy as a community, made up of customers and of creators. I hope to offer work for artisans and give people the opportunity to have the creative and supportive careers they deserve. While at the same time providing a positive experience to each of our customers. I hope that my business will continue to grow in a way that will support this desire.
What makes your business stand out?I am a self taught jeweler, which means I have a lot of trial and error. Sometimes beautiful things are found in mistakes, in both design and life. I thrive on the process and take my time designing and creating. I wear every single one of my samples, sometimes for months, before they go into production. I want to know what it's like to live with a piece. Each piece is created with a wearer in mind. I take a traditional design concept, like art deco architecture and attempt to translate it into something my best friend would wear. I want every piece to feel empowering and lasting.
