Tell us about your business.

Happy Owl Glassworks is the creation of Tracy Bull. With degrees in illustration and glassworking, Tracy fused her skills to create a line of glass items that celebrate nature's wonders. Tracy founded her company in the Fall of 2003, after being accepted to participate in a local craft fair. Based off the positive response from that one show, she grew her operation -- expanding from a laundry room studio space to an international wholesale and online presence in just under one year. Beginning with a spectrum of colorful glass, Tracy handcuts each piece to size and applies her original line drawings via a specialized printing technique. Her work is then fused to temperatures exceeding 1400 degrees to permanently fuse the illustrations to the glass. Looking ahead, Tracy plans on pushing Happy Owl Glassworks into new markets while expanding her line, all while keeping loyal to the signature items that have supported her growth.

What makes your business stand out?

Each Happy Owl item is fashioned from concept to shipping by the artist herself. The illustrations, manufacturing, and package design are all part of the labor of love that makes a Happy Owl purchase a unique experience from start to finish.
