Tell us about your business.Developed by husband and wife team, Caleb & Mieke Johnson spurred by an "inspired intolerance" to gluten. Our intention to expand the reach of tula to provide more gluten free to more people in more places.
What makes your business stand out?tula foods are: *delicious *free from many common allergens *displayed with a unique, clear system for identifying allergens We nourish people according to their needs, not our own. tula brings together foods that are familiar & “foodie”. Our concept is inclusive of all demographics. We understand that there are many ways to eat & we make customers feel comfortable with their choice. We make gluten free easy!
What's the best business advice you've received?Best piece of business advice: bootstrap! maybe you have access to cash & maybe you don't; it doesn't really matter if you don't have the chutzpah to really succeed. Starting with a bunch of resources, if you have never had a business before, will only give you more ways to waste resources. If you bootstrap for a bit you learn to think creatively, to reduce, re-use & recycle, to network, to listen to your customers, to find gems of advice from suppliers and mentors & learn every nuance of the job so as to be able to train new hires for success in the company. Even if you don't have to, any entrepreneur can benefit from having to bootstrap.
