I create colorful cat art designs which I sell as hand made cards, prints and collectibles such as decorative magnets and wooden Keepsake Boxes.

Tell us about your business.

I started making hand made cards for friends and family from my art work which is inspired by my three lively cats (my muses!). My cards are large and colorful and I discovered that most of the people who received them framed them. I opened an Etsy shop in 2010 and started selling my hand made cards and prints at local craft fairs. My customers soon encouraged me to use my designs on other items. My new line of Hand Decorated Wooden Keepsake Boxes are extremely popular. They are not only beautiful, they are also a special place to keep momentos and important items. They make unique gifts for cat and art lovers. I like working with wood, paint and decoupage and have plans to expand my art work to other lines of home decor.

What makes your business stand out?

My signature designs are not humorous and colorful- they also present a realistic view of living with pampered cats, who are the most popular pet in America. I have had the good fortune to connect with cat and art lovers who are delighted with my designs and feel the same way about their pets that I do.

What's the best business advice you've received?

To do what you love and find people who love it too.
