Wendy Costa Studio

American Made Since 1987

Wendy Costa

Starkville , New York
I am a painter and designer creating my own line of fashion & home accessories since 1987. I specialize in fabrics, tights, socks & ceramics.

Tell us about your business.

For over 25 years I have created paintings and poetry for my home and fashion accessories line. I work in a historic church in the beautiful countryside of upstate New York, using suppliers exclusively from the US. My studio prints our fabrics in small batches and we work with our community to fill orders for boutiques and stores nationwide. My work features garden and food themes mixed with my love for fashion illustration and vintage children's picture books. I would love to see my business grow to employ more local people and to develop more lines of textiles and home decor.

What makes your business stand out?

My original paintings, poems and my proprietary use of printing techniques on fabrics, tights, socks and ceramics that I have developed over two decades.

What's the best business advice you've received?

Keep your work made in the USA.
