American Made Since 2010
I am educated in apparel design, experienced in costume design, and committed to awesomeness. Using theatrical styling and tight color schemes, I design streetwear with a heavy-handed conceptual theme. Creating handmade garments and accessories brings such satisfaction to a highly creative, introverted, detail-oriented artist like myself. I love spending time in my studio getting lost in my work. It's very satisfying knowing that I've personally done each step in a garment's creation: conceptualizing, sketching, patterning, stitching.
What makes your business unique?Although there are both masculine and feminine aspects found in my clothing, there's also an intentional disregard for traditional gender roles in dressing and accessorizing. A lot of my most recent work is conceptualized in an androgynous state of mind where style is not limited or defined by gender. This makes for several extra steps while patterning to ensure a good fit on a wide range of body shapes, but it's important and exciting to me.
What's the best business advice you've received? To be an ARTIST, all you have to do is make ART. So, go. Make.
