Marlisa Jeng Ceramics
American Made Since 2005
For many years I have been intrigued by clay, in particular the potter's wheel and the mesmerizing process of forming vessels in this way. Recently I have made it a priority to really learn my craft and develop a body of work. Through exploration, practice and mistakes I am refining the forms and decorations I find appealing. The idea for a teapot which I have named "Within" came about working through such a mistake. This is my own design with a "fenestra lid" which I believe is unique. I hope that while using this teapot, a sense of tranquility and serenity is evoked. I hope to market my ceramics at small craft fairs and online. I continue to explore shape, space, line, and their confluence.
