Shaggy Baggy

American Made Since 2008

Shaggy Baggy creates one of a kind totes, zipper bags and storage bins inspired by a love of color and texture often mixed with salvaged burlap.

Tell us about your business.

I opened my Etsy shop in 2008 with burlap totes. Shaggy Baggy has since evolved to include a line of fabric storage bins perfect for organizing any room. Shaggy Buckets are perfect for a knitting or sewing project. I love to mix color and prints in unique ways. I plan to add a collection of winter scarves as well as additional home products to include a unique mix of vintage fabrics, feed sacks and burlap. I have been a work at home mom for 19 years. All three of my kids will be in college this year and I look forward to this new opportunity to devote more time to sewing, crafting and creating.

What makes your business stand out?

All Shaggy Baggy items are handcrafted one at a time by me in my home studio. I purchase fabrics in limited quantities making each item unique. Coffee totes and vintage grain sack totes are beautiful with all their natural nubs and imperfections.

What's the best business advice you've received?

Keep creating. Do what makes you happy.
