Warbonnet Brooklyn is a design collective with an evolving focus on unique objects of both compliment and adornment.

Tell us about your business.

We are Erin Duffey and Matt Wycoff, we live and work together in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Collectively, we share fine art, design, woodwork, styling, production and journalism experience. All those things and our sincere love for art, travel, nature, collecting and thrifting have lead to special capsule collections, that change and move with the seasons: Warbonnet Brooklyn. Our design work includes leather talismans, painted mirrors, plant stands and installations; found art and textiles recontextualized, and various curatorial projects. All hand-crafted and homespun here in Brooklyn, NY. Look for our web store coming soon, and pop-up shop in Portland, Maine this winter.

What makes your business stand out?

The ability and freedom to create hand-crafted objects, one at a time. Then do it again. With our varied backgrounds, we draw inspiration from the past and push to create new things. Mixing our designs with revival works of art and textiles thrifted from attics and junk sales gives them an elevated voice. Our audience also makes us unique. We are so lucky to have found ourselves in a place and time that celebrates the strange, considers detail and restraint, and supports artisanal craftsmanship.

What's the best business advice you've received?

"Know your groceries."
