Up close and personal. Totally unique hand made pamper cakes and wedding towel cakes for your special day. Tailored to your personality and style

Tell us about your business.

In 2003, I began making wedding towel cakes and pamper cakes for family and friends. I wanted to be a blessing to those on their special day whether it was starting a life together or bring a life into this world. I have always loved crafts and people so I decided to combine the two. The process begins by an informal interview to find out what the person has in mind as far as a theme or colors and a budget. Once a budget is determined I am able to see how large or how detailed I can go. Once that is determined, I can begin to purchase the supplies. This process takes about a week because I am in a wheelchair and I am dependent on others to give me a ride. Once I have all the supplies the building process can take anywhere from a few hours to a couple of days. I am very detail oriented and I like to step back and then put the final details on the cake. I can see my business evolving by selling in hospitals or boutiques and online. I have shipped out of town.

What makes your business stand out?

What makes my business unique is me. These cakes were born out of a love to share and to bless. It brings me great joy to bring create something that will represent that person's special day. I cherish life greatly because I have lived a life of hardship since the day I was born. I wasn't even expected to live but I am here and this is my purpose.

What's the best business advice you've received?

The best business advice I have received is to love what I do and be a good steward and don't despise the days of small beginnings.
