Tell us about your business.I got my start in animation when everything was hand done. I borrowed the classic animation technique to render animation style portraits. I thought the best results came from using two or more images. Bridal couples always made wonderful subjects. Inevitably family members would request copies. That's when I discovered I could get perfect duplicates by using photo transparencies. As a lark I decided to try a similar process to commemorate the bride's dress. Since most bridal dresses are made of lace I realized using the photograph alone was the best way to capture that degree of detail. I've incorporated the use of photographic transparencies into the process of layering the wedding dress image over sheet music and other decorative motifs. I'm happy to provide an alternative to the old tradition of storing a beautiful wedding dress in a box under a bed.
What makes your business stand out?To the best of my knowledge nobody else has ever used this form of mixed media.
