Edward Jorgensen - American Artistry in Wood
Tell us about your business.I have worked for over 60 years as a fine cabinetmaker. From unique one-of-a-kinds to restoration pieces, I like to think that I pay uncompromising attention to detail while bringing 19th century craftsmanship to our times. Every work is an investment for the generations. I was apprenticed to Franco Capozzi of Florence, Italy, in my youth. After getting married we went into business for ourselves. My restored antique cabinets are in the collections of the Metropolitan Art Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts in Newark, and the Montclair Art Museum. Today we work in the coastal hills of Santa Barbara County, California.
What makes your business stand out?We are a mom and pop business.
