Julia Wilson

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
With a focus on handweaving and natural materials, Julia Lines makes items for the well-lived home.

Tell us about your business.

Using natural fibers such as linen and cotton, Julia Lines creates intricate handwoven and handcrafted goods for the home. Delicate, yet graphic patterns are contemporary and classic. The beauty of handwoven cloth is that its pattern is embedded in the structure of the yarns. It is both tactile and functional. All weaving takes place on a maple floor loom, with domestic yarns.

What makes your business stand out?

Julia Lines honors the knowledge of handweaving and the act of making, while keeping an eye on contemporary design and the well-put-together home.

What's the best business advice you've received?

To keep going, to persevere. Keep putting one foot in front of the other to get where you want to go.
