Tara White Studio
Tell us about your business. The main focus of Tara White Studio are creations featuring my hand sculpted clay animal and nature-inspired figures. I hope to capture the feelings of nostalgia for the place in which I live as well as the magic of the natural world and convey that nostalgia and magic through my work. When I am creating, I am happy and at peace with the world. I want to sell my items to share a little part of myself, bring joy to someone's life and instill some uniqueness into everyday life.
What makes your business stand out?All of my creations are inspired by nature in some way - whether it is a specific animal, a natural element or a way to reuse and recycle to help protect nature. Animals and nature have always played an important role in my life. Pets were always considered members of the family and I can't imagine not coming home to my dog Jackson every day. I gained unique perspective working as a veterinary technician being so involved in the health of animals and having a direct impact on their lives. My respect for the natural world is immense and there is so much inspiration to be found there.
What's the best business advice you've received?Put a personal touch in everything you do. This is a common mantra for many sellers on Etsy and something I strive to do myself. As someone who has made purchases from Etsy, I always appreciate a hand written note or any unique type of packaging. It just shows that the person cares about their product and their customer.
