Tell us about your business.

Colorado Chaps is a one person customer driven custom fabric chap maker. I make chaps for motorcycling, equestrian, hiking, ORV, hunting, name it. Colorado Chaps is proud to have mounted officers sporting our chaps, on both bike and horse! The chaps being sold primarily through the internet, have reached every corner of the globe from Mongolia to Thailand! I have chosen highly technical fabrics to replace the traditional leather chaps of the past. Each pair is tailored to each customer giving me the joy and satisfaction of fitting common sizes well and odd and unique sizes which otherwise cannot be fitted.

What makes your business stand out?

Custom hand cut and sewn chaps is my niche. How often do you really get a one of a kind clothing item at an extremely reasonable price? Often my customers are pleasantly surprised when I quote them a price, and even more so when they receive their custom chaps often in a week or less (dependent on season of course)! Customers get to chose from a large selection of technical fabrics, colors, and a list of options to tune the chaps to their own needs. I've espoused the "form follows function" attitude resulting in a clean and universal design that spans many applications. Each pair is ordered a'la'carte" off my web site with easy to follow illustrated instructions. Truly Custom!
