Tell us about your business.

Lady Gatsby is the story of an idea that traditions of using all natural ingredients to make soap and other bath products can reflect a sense of luxuriousness and glamour. With help from mother nature, we bring handmade natural soaps with aromatic scents to relax the mind, bath soaks to ease aches and lotions to help moisturize sensitive skin. An exhaustive, slightly obsessive search trying to find simple bath products and gifts that are handmade with luxurious, all natural unique ingredients (organic spices, herbal teas), and wrapped to delight, inspired our little idea. Growing up in Kenya, experiencing a mix of grandma’s organic lifestyle, traditional apothecary techniques and mom’s DIY egg facial masks, oatmeal scrubs and avocado hair treatments is the beautiful mess in between. We are convinced that beauty should have a natural way about itself. We at Lady Gatsby are all about handmade, all natural at-home spa treatment pampering and living well.

What makes your business stand out?

A commitment to providing an unparalleled bathing & skin-care experience, using only nature's most treasured ingredients to fashion a unique artisanal range of day-to-day essentials, all handmade in USA. We’ve said no to icky parabens, cheap fillers, genetically-modified-whatevers and artificial fragrances in our products. A yes to good-for-your skin, all-natural ingredients and a jolt of pretty packaging. Plus, everything is tested on people, not animals. The kitchen is our perfect playground, hey, the last time we ran out of lip gloss, we substituted with a few dabs of olive oil. We think of ourselves as experimental, greeny-chic, preppy-meets hippie. Lady Gatsby promotes healthy living! And don’t worry, we’re not going to make you whip up a batch of egg-whites & oatmeal.
