Tell us about your business.

At thecitygirlfarm we make timeless objects for everyday delight. Our creations - each one-of-a-kind - share stories and bring about more. We employ traditional craft techniques with a fresh aesthetic, bringing ideas born in our farm hearts out into the world. The first chicken footstools, Henny and Penny, were hatched in Sally's graduate furniture design studio. A turned wood egg-shaped core stands on bronze feet and connects to a bronze beak. Feathers are fashioned with hand-felted wool and alpaca fiber and are upholstered by hand, ensuring the uniqueness of every chicken in both posture and personality. They are recognizable, yet mysterious; practical, yet farfetched. We experience joy in their making and wonder in witnessing deep reactions as people encounter them. We love to see people smile and look forward to sharing more of our creations with others!
